HTC One S failed, where will you go HTC?

English: Wordmark of HTC. Trademarked by HTC.

HTC One S is a smartphone developed by the HTC mobile phone company in Taiwan. Equipped with Android 4.0 (upgradeable to Android 4.1) operating system, this phone has the HTC Sense 4.0 (HTC Sense 4 +) user interface and can be upgraded. HTC One S is last year’s HTC phones amongst the company’s high-end models.

It involves the use of high-quality dual-core processor and the emphasis is on high-end camera, built-in Beats Audio and industrial design. One S is divided into three versions, including the Z520e, Z560e models, and in particular the model of only Taiwan-listed One S Special Edition. The difference between the various versions mainly lies in the use of different processor for different regions of sale. HTC replacement processor is not specified in the specification table.

Since April 2012, HTC One S is began to come in the U.S. and European markets (United States, Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom, Finland, Italy, Portugal, Greece, France, Ireland, Spain, Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and other markets). The phone is beginning to come in the Asia-Pacific market and the Eastern European countries and the United Kingdom (Thailand, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Australia, Singapore, Vietnam listed) in the end 2012. Special models of HTC One S Special Edition was released on October 18, 2012 only to Taiwan.

HTC One S uses a one piece aluminum shell, with two unique technologies: the first is a scratch-resistant ceramic metal surface made by micro-arc oxidation anode processing (MAO); its hardness is due to anodized aluminum. The second technique is the anode coloring treatment to enhance a patented process; the surface of the phone gets a gradient color from light to dark. This HTC phone has a top power button and 3.5mm headphone port, with volume keys on the right. The left side hosts the MHL / Micro USB port. Below the display there are three or four capacitive type keys (return key, home key, the task switch key, microblogging key). LED indicators are located on the left earpiece.

A removable back cover is there at the top of the plastic sheet. Because the body uses a one piece design, the battery cannot be replaced. The battery is 1650 mAh lithium battery and HTC claims it has 10.5 hours of talk time and 13.2 days of standby time. The phone is the thinnest of all HTC phones at only 7.8 mm, so it is unable to provide the microSD memory card interface and supports only with micro SIM card. HTC One S uses Samsung Table Red Super AMOLED 4.3 inch display with a resolution of 960×540 (qHD) pixels. Also, it use Corning Gorilla tempered glass. The Pentile RGBG is used with sub-pixel arrangement. The phone has an 8-megapixel main camera and 0.3-megapixel front camera. The main camera comes with a BSI back-illuminated sensor, F2.0 large aperture and AF 28mm wide-angle lens.

The HTC One S failed to impress everybody and we’re hoping that the newly launched HTC One will make way for HTC’s return. HTC smartphones are great but they just lack the proper marketing. What do you guys think?

HTC phones are not great..! The one reason HTC went down is because it duped customers with so little internal memory that you could barely install more than 5 apps. Customers, WILL NEVER AGAIN SAY htc.
