Android Studio Version 1.0 was something that was in development by Google for two years. What is Android Studio Version 1.0? It is no other than the first very stable of an Integrated Development environment that is geared towards Android developers, and that can be downloaded for various operating systems from Windows to Mac to Linux.

Google did first introduce Android Studio as being the official Android IDE at its l/0 Developer conference that was held in May of 2013. The company showed it off with a very simple pitch that was no other than calling it the Android IDE. This makes it the official IDE for Android.

What Google did promise the IDE developers was, with the help of Android Studio, the developers would be able to do everything much faster and being far more productive at the end of the day. It was also being hailed at one time as being the replacement thing for Eclipse. They even came up with some steps users need to take full advantage of when migrating away from Eclipse.

Being that Android Studio Version is only at stable 1.0 presently, it does indeed make sense to know all of the new features at this point. The new features of the Android Studio Version 1.0 is something that everyone should know just to get to know. These features are as follows.

*A Gradle-based built system that is completely flexible in description.

*Pro-Guard and other kinds of app signing capabilities that do vary.

*A built-in support for Google Cloud Platform. This is something that can serve to make this platform far more compatible with Google Cloud Messaging and App Engine.

*Code templates being available to those who need to build any common app features

*Has a host of lint tools that can catch performance, usability, version compatibility and other issues.
